BTS Makes History with Presidential Commendation for Charitable Efforts

BTS has become the first Korean musical act to receive the prestigious Presidential Commendation at the Korea Good Donation Awards, highlighting their impactful charitable contributions.

BTS has been honored with the Presidential Commendation at the 5th Korea Good Donation Awards, marking a significant milestone as the first Korean singers to achieve this recognition. The awards, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Association of Charitable Organizations, celebrate individuals and groups who inspire societal change through donations and acts of kindness.

The group’s 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign, in partnership with UNICEF Korea since 2017, has been pivotal in promoting violence prevention and mental health support for children and adolescents globally. BTS and their fans, known as ARMY, have raised approximately ₩9.20 billion KRW (about $6.26 million USD), becoming UNICEF's largest private partner in child protection efforts.
